Code of Conduct

Gurukul Residential Training College of Civil Services is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all members of our college community. The following Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations and standards of conduct that govern our interactions within the college premises and beyond:

1. Respect and Courtesy: All students, faculty, staff, and visitors are expected to treat each other with respect, courtesy, and dignity. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, or any form of disrespectful behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is strictly prohibited.
2. Academic Integrity: We uphold the principles of academic integrity and honesty. Plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, falsification, or any other form of academic dishonesty is not tolerated. All academic work must be the original creation of the individual submitting it, with proper attribution given to sources.
3. Professionalism: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, both inside and outside the classroom. This includes adhering to dress codes, meeting deadlines, communicating respectfully with peers and faculty, and engaging actively in academic and extracurricular activities.
4. Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for academic success. Students are expected to attend all classes, lectures, seminars, and other academic activities as scheduled. Absences must be reported to the appropriate faculty or staff members in advance, with valid reasons provided.
5. Personal Responsibility: Students are responsible for their own actions and choices. They are expected to take ownership of their academic performance, behavior, and decisions, and to seek assistance or support when needed. Irresponsible or reckless behavior that jeopardizes the safety or well-being of oneself or others will not be tolerated.
6. Responsible Use of Resources: Students are expected to use college resources, facilities, and equipment responsibly and ethically. This includes computers, laboratories, libraries, and other academic resources. Any misuse or unauthorized use of college resources is strictly prohibited.
7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: All members of the college community must comply with local, state, and national laws, as well as college policies and regulations. Any behavior that violates the law or poses a threat to the safety and security of the college community will be subject to disciplinary action.
8. Conflict Resolution: Disputes or conflicts between individuals should be resolved through constructive dialogue, mediation, or established grievance procedures. Retaliation or any form of retribution against individuals who report violations of the Code of Conduct is strictly prohibited.
9. Alcohol and Drug Policy: The use, possession, distribution, or sale of alcohol or illegal drugs on college premises is strictly prohibited. Students are expected to comply with all applicable laws and college policies regarding substance abuse.
10. Consequences of Violations: Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to warnings, probation, suspension, or expulsion from the college. The severity of the consequences will depend on the nature and severity of the violation, as well as any mitigating or aggravating factors.

By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we uphold the values of integrity, respect, and professionalism that define our college community. We encourage all members of the Gurukul Residential Training College of Civil Services to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive and enriching learning environment for all.

This Code of Conduct is subject to periodic review and revision by the college administration to ensure its continued effectiveness and relevance.
